Book It always charges a large set-up fee, which includes all interviews and information gathering needed for the project; scanning/cleaning up photos; writing copy; drafting the project; up to two sets of proofs; and all materials and labor required for two completed, hand-bound and custom-covered books.
For a project this size, that set-up fee is typically $800. Additional copies start at $75 each.

These books are always popular among family members. If splitting costs with others, the more copies purchased, the less each book costs.
For example, if buying 20 copies of the book described above, say one for each member of the family, the cost of each book comes out to $107.
Other projects, like cookbooks and ABC books, don’t require as much research and therefore have less expensive set-up fees.
